I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by fields of Queen Anne’s Lace, a father who gardened and worked with stained glass and pottery, and a mother who quilted, sewed and knit. Sundays were filled with psalms and sacred music—experiences that shaped my reverence for nature, faith, and creativity. In 2024, I relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina, where I continue to draw inspiration from the natural world and my own garden.
Using plant materials gathered from my garden or the greenway near the neighborhood lake, I create prints on delicate tissue and rice papers, layering them with sheet music, sacred texts, or handwritten scripture to craft deeply meditative pieces. Even when the words aren’t visible, they remain woven within the work, carrying quiet reminders of peace and joy. Each collage is a meditation on wholeness—taking fragments and creating harmony—because I believe art can restore us, especially in times when the world feels fractured.
Collectors are drawn to my work because it offers more than decoration—it creates a sanctuary, a daily invitation to pause, breathe, and remember what matters. The imagery of wildflowers and gardens speaks to resilience and gratitude, while the hidden layers of sacred text and song affirm that beauty and faith still hold us steady in uncertain
times.
Today, when so much feels impermanent, I see art as a lasting expression of courage and hope. My pieces are created to be lived with—to inspire, to comfort, and to root us in the joy that endures.
I’m honored to be represented by Green Door Art Gallery in St. Louis—the gallery I once owned and where my artistic journey began—and at Garden Shop on Moss in
Wilmington, NC, where my work continues to grow and reach new audiences.
